// BEHAVIOUR POLICY:
We created Behaviour Policy to help ensure that students can maximize their fun, develop character, and above all stay safe while participating in our programming. These rules are meant to maintain standards that we believe benefit the children and families of our students, while contributing to the overall atmosphere of our programming.
We do our best to work with students and their families to model good behaviour, and are generally understanding of the pitfalls of growing up, and learning, and we expect the same from students and families. To maintain the quality of our programming, we will enforce this policy when necessary.
The following standards are included in the Behaviour Policy, along with the necessary procedures of enforcement:
– Physically/verbally assaulting other students. Contextually this means abusing or attacking (hitting, kicking, grabbing, throwing, pushing, etc.) other students outside of the context of training.
– Unacceptable and disruptive behaviour. This includes any behaviour that takes attention away from the group’s stability (refusal to listen to coaches, refusal to participate, distracting other students, temper tantrums, etc.).
– Negative attitude. This includes negative talk about other students or their families, coaches, staff, the Academy, parents, etc. We try to model positive personalities, and expect positive behaviour from students.
Procedures of enforcement:
1. Verbal warning.
2. Student/parent conference.
3. Final student/parent conference, and the student will take a leave of absence with a term to be determined by the staff, depending on the severity of the violation, up to and including dismissal from programming.
In all cases we will attempt to work with the student and their family to prevent enforcement of this policy whenever possible.
If enforcement of this policy is required, the staff/coaches decision is final.
If a child is no longer able to participate due to violation of the Behaviour Policy, the remaining balance of the program will be non-refundable.

// BEHAVIOUR POLICY:
